# VirtualAudioRegister version 1.005

“VirtualAudioRegister” registers a virtual audio device that captures what you hear from the speakers. The device is a DirectShow filter developed by [Roger Pack](https://github.com/rdp/virtual-audio-capture-grabber-device), and is used with FFmpeg to record audio together with video.

Until now, the project has not had a dedicated release and the files have been distributed with other projects. Although these earlier versions can still be used, the [project release](https://github.com/leadedge/VirtualAudioRegister/releases/tag/v1.005) is the most recent version.

There have been several changes to the program and details are documented in the source file. The main ones for the user are simplified operation with a single registration notification and a larger, easier to read dialog font
