Help getting obs virtual camera into Signal Culture Input Amp using Spout

I just learned of the interesting Signal Culture apps, which use Spout. I’ve installed Spout and NDI successfully in OBS, but OBS Virtual Camera though appearing in Signal Culture Input Amplifier dropdown, does not display except as black 320x440 I think. OBS Virtual Camera does work elsewhere. Can anyone suggest ways to fix this? thx

I would use the following flow as a fast fix but am not sure if that’s the best way to do it:
1- On OBS Studio, add a Video Capture Device in your scene and choose “OBS virtual Camera“ then move it out the canvas or hide it under other sources or you can even create a seperate scene for it.
2- Add a spout filter on that source (or NDI if the app is running on other computer).
3- Capture the signal using Spout (or NDI) on Signal Culture.

Thanks for your reply! It didn’t work, here are my specifics, let me know if I made errors?

This is latest OBS, refreshed, and Input Amp also just downliaded and installed. OBS Virtual Camera does work for me in sending its signal between this OBS and a separate portable install. Spout and NDI are successfully installed in OBS, and NDI Runtime 6 installed, Win 11. I created a Test Scene, added Spout and NDI to filters, also added Video Capture sources for both Spout and Virtual Camera. I tried both with Virtual Camera off, since your instructions didn’t say turn on, and also turned on. OBS and Input Amp are on the same computer. In Input Amp I chose OBS Virtual camera in the dropdown, then turned on Live Input, tried both clicking the Spout tab on and off. The window continues unchanged, black with res 320x240. I then changed the dropdown for OBS VC to 1280x720 [my OBS settings]. ps earlier I’d had OBS at 30fps but changed to 60fps at a suggestion, this changed nothing. I also updated my NVIDIA divers to newest..

Please let me know anything I did wrong, or other suggestions? Thx!

Now essentially solved! Input Amp still cannot receive OBS Virtual Camera, but that was wanted to route that signal to the functional Signal Culture apps, and it turns out these can input OBS Virtual Camera signals without Input Amp. Thanks!
