I’m currently trying to retrieve a video feed from a Blender camera, but the demo receiver doesn’t see anything from Blender… (I tried it on TouchDesigner, and there was no issue with receiving or sending images.)
I need to work with Blender version 3.4.
I’m using the latest version of Spout,
as well as the latest version of Touch.
The resources I followed are as follows:
Blender Spout Tutorial - Jacob Mesick
Blender Viewport Streaming to Spout Receiver Test - Rakesh Dey
as you might have found from previous enquiries, each program has to be using the same GPU. Check that each one, Blender, TouchDesigner, and the receiver, Spout or otherwise, is using the same Windows Preference “High Performance”.
That didn’t help the situation, but thanks for the answers! They opened my mind to testing other things.
I managed to achieve what I wanted. In versions 3.4 or 3.4.1, Spout wasn’t able to detect any signal, but I noticed the latest version doesn’t have this issue. So, I tried decreasing the update rate to get the AddRoute plugin connected, and I finally managed to get everything I needed in Blender 3.6.1. I’m also using TouchDesigner 2023.
Thanks for your help and for everything! Have a great day!
