Unreal plugin fail help!

Hi there

I am using Unreal 4.25 on a Razer Blade running DirectX12, which I understand is still compatible with DX11.

I am ideally wanting to send over Spout from Resolume, but I am currently not even able to receive in UE4 from the Demo Sender.

I have tried various combos of options in the SpoutSettings to no avail.

In UE4 when I Play, I get the following:
Sender Spout DX11 Sender found, registering receiving …
No material instance, creating … / / / / / / / /
Texture is read

    • starting …- - Open Shared Resource - - -
      - - FAIL - - Open Shared Resource - - -

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @mikestjean,

If Unreal Engine is using DirectX 12, this is not compatible with the Spout plugin which is DirectX 11. Perhaps this post might be relevant. If it relates to your problem, a solution is offered by @offworldlive if you contact them.
